Projects
Project:
Blender and Unity
Software:
Blender and Unity
Time:
8 hours
Focus:
Character modelling, rigging and environmental design
Process:
I modelled the character using a reference sheet, I then created the UV maps and added the textures to the character using shader nodes. After adding textures I rigged the character and adjusted skin weights where needed, exporting it as an .fbx file to import into my scene later. I created my scene using pre-made assets and a plane to scatter the trees and foliage to make the forest. I added the foreground rock and tree before importing my character and adjusting my scene and posed my character till I was happy with the placement. I added a volumetric shader to my blender file to create a fog effect. After creating it in blender I exported my scene to Unity, making sure to bake the textures beforehand. Once imported into Unity I used the fog element to create a similar effect to my volume shader from Blender. I adjusted the lighting in Unity until I was satisfied with the outcome.
